Sophie Tote - Quilt as You Go
The Sophie Tote Bag is the perfect size to use as a purse, book bag, or shopping tote. Pre-cut fabric strips or your own scraps add personality to this simple Quilt-As-You-Go project that comes together quickly.
Supplies:
- Sophie Tote printed batting
- Sewing machine in good working order with power cord, foot control and new needle
- Thread for piecing and optional 2nd for topstitching handles
- Rotary Cutter with new blade/18x24 Cutting Mat/6x24 Ruler
- Glue Stick
- Pins/Wonder Clips
- Fabric Scissors
- Universal and Denim or Topstitching needles
- ¼ yd fabric for Tope Edge
- ¼ yd fabric for Strap’s Main section and Strip of bag
- ¼ yd of 6-10 fabrics (sample used 10) OR 10 2 1/2” x 42” strips
- ¼ yd fabric for Binding
- 2/3 yd fabric for lining (light color recommended)

- Basting Spray or Basting Powder
- ¼” Foot
