Kid Stitch Summer - A Full Week Sewing Experience

Welcome to Kid Stitch Summer, our full week Kids Sewing program, where creativity meets fun in a hands-on learning experience! This class is designed for young sewists ages 9-14, beginner to intermediate skill levels, who want to explore the exciting world of sewing.
Let your child discover the joys of sewing while developing valuable skills they’ll use for years to come. With new, exciting projects each week, the fun never ends!
Each week, students will complete skill appropriate sewing projects that encourage them to express their individuality while learning essential sewing skills.

Summer Basics includes learning how to use a sewing machine, hand stitching, and understand how to measure and cut fabric. Basics follows a specific curriculum that includes stitching their own pincushion, a personalized pillow, backpack and more. These projects are designed to build basic sewing skills and foster creativity. Attendees will gain confidence in sewing and be excited to showcase their finished creations!
Summer Basics is offerred June 22-26 and July 6-10
Advanced Summer Sewing is for students who have completed Basics and/or participated in our monthly Kids Stitch program. Students, with assistance from instructors, will select more advanced projects allowing participants to learn techniques and skills, often working with various fabrics and patterns that reflect their personality and style. Kids will leave with something they’re proud to show off!
Advanced Summer Sewing is offerred Jully 20-24 and July 27-31
Quilt Week will focus exclusively on quilting skills including pattern and fabric selection, cutting, piercing, various options for finishing a first, and possibly second, quilts.
Quilt Week is June 29-July 3
In addiiton to weekly supplies, please bring the following sewing supplies to all classes.
Sewing Machine in good working order with foot control, power cord and accessories
Pins & Pin Cushion
Fabric Scissors
Thread Snips
Marking Pen, Pencil or Chalk of choice
Optional, but helpful, tools:
Seam guide - magnetic or screw in
Needle safety foot or guide
