Instructor: Nan Grimm
Instructor Bio: Nancy, or as family and friends call her, Nan, learned to sew and tat from her grandmother. Apparently sewing skills skipped a generation in her family as her mother gave her a sewing machine at the age of 6 to do the family mending! Her love of sewing continued through junior high, where she won the Home Economics award. In college, Nan?s sewing skills lead her to a job in the costume shop, where her skills increased and creativity flourished. Sadly, sewing took a back seat as Nan pursued a career in Information Technology. Upon ?marrying into the Army,? Nan gave up her corporate career and found a position working in a quilt shop. Her passion for sewing was reignited and she hasn?t looked back since. Working the in the quilt shop also introduced her to machine embroidery, which opened new pathways to creativity. In her free time, Nan enjoys reading, cooking and traveling. She lives in Pennsylvania Dutch Country (Berks County) with her husband and two lovable kitties.
