The blocks created in the Kaleidoscope Quilt will be constructed from a border fabric. The 1st class will concentrate on layering the fabric to cut the block pieces. The goal is to sew together at least 2 blocks. The remaining blocks will be completed at home. The 2nd class will lay out the blocks and then work on attaching the borders with a mitered corner. While the finished quilts will be similar, the blocks will be slightly different depending on where the sections are cut. Once all of the blocks are assembled, the quilt will be framed with more of the border fabric with mitered corners.

Kid Stitch - A Monthly Sewing Project

Welcome to Kid Stitch, our Monthly Kids Sewing Class, where creativity meets fun in a hands-on learning experience! This class is designed for young beginners (ages 9-14) who want to explore the exciting world of sewing. Each month, students will complete a simple, age-appropriate sewing project that encourages them to express their individuality while learning essential sewing skills. Each month, we’ll focus on a new project, such as making a personalized pillow, a cute tote bag, or even a custom bookmark. These projects are designed to build basic sewing skills and foster creativity. Children will learn how to use a sewing machine, practice hand stitching, and understand how to measure and cut fabric. They’ll gain confidence in sewing and be excited to showcase their finished creations! Each project will allow students to choose fabrics, colors, and patterns that reflect their personality and style. Kids will leave with something they’re proud to show off! Our instructors provide step-by-step guidance in a fun and supportive atmosphere. Basic machine lessons are a prerequisite. Let your child discover the joys of sewing while developing valuable skills they’ll use for years to come. With a new, exciting project each month, the fun never ends!
